Many fellow bass fishermen already have experienced the thrill of fishing on this new lake. The lake was impounded in 1991 covering a surface area of 22,740 acres. Cooper Lake is a bass haven with standing timber and deep creek channels. With a lake record bass of over 14 pounds on the books. With many more in the 10+ pound range. John's Creek Lodge is in its final stages of completion and should be ready for spring fishing. The grand opening is scheduled for 2-1-1999. Located off of FM 1528 out of Klondike or Cooper. Enjoy a stay in one of their new cabins complete with living quarters, showers and covered carport. They also have certified scales , tackle, supplies, live bait, drinks and ice.
