The YOUNGEST Oriole catcher was Frank Zupo (born 8/29/1939) who caught at the age of 18 (1957). The OLDEST Oriole catcher was Rick Dempsey (born 9/13/1948) who last caught for Baltimore in 1992 at the age of 43


On May 27, 1960 Clint Courtney (Baltimore Orioles) is the first catcher to use the knuckleball big mitt in the majors.
