Joe Becker was a pitching coach for sixteen years with the Dodgers (Newcomb, Black, Koufax, Drysdale, Podres, Labine, etc.) and the Cardinals (Gibson, etc) and the Chicago Cubs (Jenkins, Holtzman). Joe said that he felt it was a priviledge to be a coach and work with so many fine pitchers. Joe loved the game of baseball and he said that he always enjoyed every game he caught and at age 89 he still remembered plays that were made some fifty years ago.
