HOME RUNS LOST
On 7/4/1976 Tim McCarver (PHI) hit a grand slam in the second inning of game one of a double header at Pittsburgh. The 375 foot homer came off of Larry Demery. However, after rounding first base, McCarver passed runner Gary Maddox and was called out. He received credit for a single and 3 RBI's.

On 4/6/2006 Javy Lopez (BAL) hit a home run to left center in the second inning and Angel's outfielder Darin Erstad attempted to catch the ball at the wall. The runner at first, Miguel Tejada, thinking the ball was caught returned towards the bag and Lopez, rounding first, passed Tejada. Lopez was called out and Tejada subsequently scored, giving Lopez an RBI single over the wall.
