What We Offer

The Ohio Building Environment Report is central to the services provided to members of the Building Environment Council of Ohio. Published quarterly, articles interpret regulations and legal issues, report on legislative and regulatory developments, summarize research studies, and report important news items. Members may advertise their services for a reasonable fee.

A Membership Directory, listing members and their areas of interest, as well as regulatory agency contacts, is updated and distributed annually to members and interested non-members.

BECO's Referral Service connects building owners with providers of environmental services. Building owners trying to locate contractors, consultants, and other service providers often contact us first, or are referred to us by state agencies. We can search our database by type of service and region to promptly respond to inquiries. Although the Building Environment Council cannot make recommendations, we feel that membership in BECO is a recommendation in itself, indicating professional commitment to problems in the building environment.

Regulatory Contacts: BECO officers and staff maintain regular communication with various public and private agencies to keep abreast of regulatory developments so that information will be disseminated to BECO members and to direct members to appropriate resources.

Conferences provide practical advice and debate on current issues. Presenters include member and non-member experts and regulatory agency personnel. BECO holds an Annual Conference and Business Meeting each year in October, and a Spring Conference in April.
