SUPPLY OF ALLOGRAFTS TO MALAYSIA UNDER THE RESEARCH EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

 

Six pieces of Bone Allografts were supplied to the Malaysian National Tissue Bank for Surgeries to be conducted in various Malaysian Hospitals. These allografts were supplied under the International Research Co-operation Programme of the Center, whereas the center provides the allografts on request to the neighbouring countries to be implanted in patients with dire need for them. Request for the grafts had been made since March 99. However due to non-sutiablility of time and proper availability of the stocks, it was not possible to immediately supply the grafts. Finally the allografts were handed over on the 23rd of April 1999 to Mr Go Bon Thong - Representative of National Tissue Bank, Malaysia.
