OTHER RELATED EXPERIENCE
Have given seminars and lectures for the Edmonton Police Service recruit
classes, NAIT Laboratory Technicians, NAIT Court Reporters, University of
Alberta - Faculty of Law, and the Alberta Association of Crown Attorneys.
Have conducted many research projects on breath testing equipment, the
absorption, distribution and elimination of alcohol in drinking subjects and the
effects of alcohol on the human body. This research involved subjects who
consumed known amounts of liquor, and provided breath, blood and urine samples.
Results of these projects have been presented at many seminars and conferences.
In conjunction with the Calgary Police Service, was involved in experiments
related to the effect on the driving ability of individuals who had consumed
known amounts of alcohol. These subjects were evaluated by a driving instructor
before and after alcohol consumption. Blood alcohol concentrations were measured
by means of breath samples.
