Teddy Riley first started his career as a singer with Omar Chandler and a group called Kids At Work before he established himself a s a writer and producer during the 80's. From this point he has worked with artists including Keith Sweat, Kool Moe Dee, Bobby Brown, Michael Jackson and many others (To get more information on Teddy's productions go to my 'Teddy Riley Productions' page). He also founded the group Guy together with Aaron and Damion Hall. Guy was one of the most powerfull and successfull forces of 'New Jack Swing', a style of music wich has been highly influenced by Teddy's production work. In the early 90's Guy broke and Teddy dedicated himself more to producing and songwriting again till he founded BLACKstreet together with Chauncey Hannibal.
