A large portion of Blade's career was spent in the now defunct HEW. Blade debuted in the HEW on June 11, 1999 against Chris Betts and kept with the organization until it closed down in late November 1999. At the time of its shutdown, Blade was the reigning HEW World Heavyweight Champion, the FIRST and ONLY world title that Blade has ever held. During his time spent in the HEW, Blade held the HEW Television Championship twice, the HEW Tag-Team Championships once, and the HEW World Heavyweight Championship once. In addition, Blade wrestled some of his greatest matches to date against the likes of his mentor Apocalypse, CSWA Legend "Total Elimination" Eli Flair, and HEW Legends Havoc, Zero, and "Hardcore" Kevin Riggs.

Blade formulated several partnerships during this time (ex: the Elite, Zero Tolerance, Natural Born Killers) as well as long lasting friendships with three of his closest friends in the wrestling business, Havoc, Apocalypse, and Zero. Watch as Blade evolves, is left for "dead", and eventually claims his real name, Kendall Codine, as his in-ring persona. Below is a timeline of Blade's career and accomplishments in the HEW....
