Lecompte's Look....

Well, its been quite some time since I've resorted to my trademark....mudraking journalism. In an attempt to draw more feeble minded viewer's to the SCW, Edward Brown has hired moi, journalist, manager, and ex-federation owner extraordinare. Some of you may know me and some of you may not. Some of you may like what I have to say and some of you may not. But when all is said and done, the majority of you will know that the words that I preach are nothing but the truth.

Let's begin with a few interesting notes from last Sunday's SCW Showtime. Perhaps the most nauseating event of the evening was the "booking genius" and newly signed SCW commisioner LSD. First we bore witness to the manifestation of a normal grudge match between Micheal Bright and Jonathan Leary formulate into a Texas Death Match. You and I both know that some gimmick matches were not meant for particular talent. Furthermore, in order to build new talent, you don't have them destroy each other for the sake of saving face. Next, LSD "shocked" us all again with changing the Coffee Man versus HenchMan match into a first blood match. One question comes to mind....WHY? Not why did commisioner LSD choose to switch these matches, but why on god's green Earth did Edward Brown choose to replace the departed Austin Canon with LSD? I still don't understand that madness behind it all and it appears that I'm not the only one....

"The Reaver: I can't believe LSD is booking on the fly like this...."

"Mr. Paugh: Yeah I know..It doesn't seem right.."

Now, before you attempt to question my opinion of commisioner LSD, allow me to point your attention to the latest actions of one Edward Brown who is obviously feeling the stress of recent ratings which are on a downward spiral. The weekly ratings have decreased by 10% with the departure of the Perfect Circle and the recent wreckless booking rampage of LSD is not helping matters. Nevertheless, Mr. Brown decided to sell 3% of his company to none other than the man who is partly responsible for the decrease in ratings, LSD. However, that's not the shocker, no, the real attention grabber is the fact that Edward Brown has decided to put of 49% of the SCW up for sale on an open market. Since this staggering annoucement, rumors have run rampid backstage. Names such as Irvin R. Simmons, J-Smooth, Paul Brisbin, and even Chad Merritt have been thrown into the forefront of bidding for this share of the company. Folks, if you thought things were becoming scary in the SCW, well then, you haven't seen anything yet!!

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to address two "surprise" attacks on the latest SCW Showtime. First, we had the disgruntled "Santa Claus" running loose in the backstage area, claiming victim after victim. Names upon his "naughty list" included Marcus Wood, Hector Ruiz, Cameron Cruise, Starman, Tommy Kain, and Mystery Man 438 stand-in Stephane Mattieau. Seeing as how his gimmick is a bit limited, his next expected attack will be near St. Patrick's Day, so be on the look out for little green midgets. The second "surprise attack" was the verbal lashing delivered by ex-KliqOLation member, Tyler Stevens. Stevens spent nearly 10 minutes, displaying shocking footage of SCW legend, Johnny Williams, exposing him as a fraud. Not only did Stevens' footage shock me, but it shocked the entire world and it only makes you wonder what Stevens' will have up his sleeve next. And more importantly, what will Johnny Williams have to say about this? I guess we'll have to tune in this Sunday to find out.

Now, before I depart and send you all on your envious way, I would like to close this article with a look at this Sunday's upcoming Showtime in Vancouver, British Columbia, as well as my personal top 5 SCW favorties....

Hardcore Match Tripp Collins vs. Mr. Paugh

For those of you who don't already know, this opening match of the evening will be quite a treat. Not only will we see the always dangerous and explosive bigman, Mr. Paugh, but we'll also bare witness to the SCW debut of Tripp Collins. I have had the opportunity to see Collins in action during his SSW stint and I can tell you that it won't be long before this phenom is headling the next pay-per-view....that is if LSD doesn't book him against a monkey and a bag of soccer balls in a loser rubs Ric Samson's feet match. My pick....

winner: Tripp Collins

Normal Match Mr. Everything vs. "Mr. Conspiracy" Jonathan Leary

The verbal war between these two will finally climax this Sunday. Ex-SCW Superior Champion, Mr. Everything looks to return to the spotlight which was once his. However, newcomer Jonathan Leary looks to emerge as one of the SCW's future main eventers. Nevertheless, I have to go with my gut and pick the man that learned from the best....the best being myself!! My pick....

winner: Mr. Everything

Superior Extreme Title Match--Bloody Hell Match "The Bruin" Michael Bright vs. The Reaver vs. "The Tru Nigg@" Marcus Wood vs. Michael Shadow

Since the recent departure of ex-Superior Extreme Champion, this division has been in desparate need of a man who can carry this title with pride and these may be four of the most worthy men in the organization to do just that. Shadow and Bright are promising newcomers, but will their budding talent be enough to overcome the legendary status of The Reaver? Or will Marcus Wood return to supremecy by pulling the rug right out from underneath the other three? My pick....

winner: Marcus Wood

Hardcore Match King Buddy vs. "Sensational One" Jeff Kane

Yet another ex-TCW talent makes his debut in the SCW in the form of King Buddy. Although he doesn't rank highest amongst all intelligent life forms, he has been known to pull off the major upset from time to time. However, Jeff Kane attempts another comeback to the SCW forefront in an attempt to return to his glory days. My pick....

winner: King Buddy

Superior Mid-Atlantic Title Match "Too Cool" Tommy Kain (c) vs. "Canada's Finest" Tyler Stevens

This will be one of the brightest spots of the evening as Tyler Stevens attempts to regain the title that he "never lost". Nonetheless, Tommy Kain looks to extend his unbeaten streak and prove to Stevens that there's only one true mid-atlantic champion in the SCW. This match should be interesting and don't be surprised to see a cameo appearance from an SCW legend during the progression of this altercation. My pick....

winner: Tommy Kain

Tag Team Match Mystery Man 438 and Starman vs. Bad Element

Arguably the best match on this card. Bad Element looks to return to tag team supremacy after a short, but successful, solo stint by Hector Ruiz. However, proven single's competitors Mystery Man 438 and Starman look to bring Bad Element back to "reality". The main thing to keep in mind here is the fact that Ruiz and Samson have worked together for over five years now, where as, Starman and Mystery Man 438 will attempt to work as a cohesive unit for the first time in recent history. My pick....

winner: Bad Element

Superior Title Match DreamMaker (c) vs. Smoove

Smoove looks to regain the title that was once his. However, DreamMaker who boldly degraded the likes of Triple X, Flair, Codine, and even Hagan, looks to dismiss all hopes that Smoove may have. This may be an interesting match, but if recent history means anything, then you can account for several "guest appearances" during the progression of this match. My pick....

winner: DreamMaker

And finally, the moment that you've all been waiting for....Lecompte's Top Five SCW Wrestlers....

5. Mr. Everything....his star status may have declined a bit, but recent altercations with SCW Superior Champion, DreamMaker may change that in the near future.

4. Tommy Kain....this arrogant superstar has proved to back each of his words thus far. Some may question the level of competition that he may have face to this point. However, this Sunday will prove to be his opportunity to silence all of the critics.

3. Smoove....this Edward Brown protege has pulled upset after upset. He has also had a taste of being the best of the best and its only a matter of time before that "craving" overcomes him again.

2. Mystery Man 438....his recent "exposure" of Eli Flair proves that he is afraid of no man. His television title reign has been amongst the best and one can only wonder how long it will be before his challenges for the SCW's grand prize.

1. DreamMaker....no matter how you say it, he's simply the best. This SCW "born and raised" superstar surprisingly recaptured the SCW Superior Championship a little over two weeks ago and it doesn't look like he's going to relinquish his hold on it any time soon.

Well folks, that's if for this week's edition of Lecompte's Look. Its been your privilege and if you didn't like what I had to say....well remember, it could be worse, it could be LSD writing an article!! Until next time....
