Gods and Generals
 The Movie
 

 

 September through December 2001, several members of Company G, 14th Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry participated in the filming of Gods and Generals, the prequel to the movie Gettysburg. Filming took place in Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia recreating the battles of Antietam, Chancellorsville and Fredericksburg. Robert Duvall portrays Robert E. Lee with Stephen Lang returning as Stonewall Jackson (he portrayed George Pickett in Gettysburg) and Jeff Daniels as Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. Gods and Generals is set to be released in theaters nationwide on February 21, 2003.
