WHAT: United States Chess Federation (U.S.C.F.) Sanctioned Tournament. 6-Round Swiss in 9 sections: Primary JV (under 700), Primary Championship, Elementary JV (Under 800), Elementary Championship, Middle School JV (Under 900), Middle School Championship, High School JV (Under 1000), High School Championship, and Collegiate Championship

Time Controls: Game/30 (Thirty minutes per side per game)

WHERE: Texas A&M University, Kingsville, Student Center

WHO: Grades K through 12 and college. USCF membership required-$12 Scholastic membership for age 14 and under; $17 Youth membership for age 19 and under; $40 Adult membership

REGIST.: Registration must be postmarked by February 3, 2001. No on-site registration! Round 1 starts at 9:30 A.M. with following rounds tentatively scheduled for 11:00, 12:30, 2:00, 3:30 and 5:00.. Awards presentation at 6:30. Please arrive early at the tournament site for check-in.

COST: $15.00 (Must show proof of current membership or pay USCF membership fees)

FOOD: A food concession will be available.

PRIZES: Trophies to top fifteen in Primary through High School sections, medals to next ten; trophies to top eight in college section. Trophies to top five schools in each Primary through High School section.
