Q Branch Gadgets


Walther PPK Handgun
From the moment M found out Bond still carried a Beretta, Q Branch provided 007 with a new gun.  The Walther PPK, 7.65 Millimeter with a delivery like a brick through a plate glass window.  Bond has used this gun on everyone of his missions.

Attache Case
One of Bond's first gadgets provided by Q, this case featured a tear gas cartridge.  When the case was opened incorrectly, the gas would explode in the person's face.  This gadget came in handy when Bond rode the Orient Express with the evil SPECTRE agent, Red Grant.

Aston Martin DB5
When Bond's Bentley had its day, Q gave Bond his best car yet:  an Aston Martin DB5, loaded with modifications.  They included revolving number plates, machine guns, a directional system, and many other defense mechanism controls.  The car is used by Bond when he infiltrates Auric Goldfinger's factory, and later when he leaves the Shrublands Health Clinic.
Underwater Camera
When Bond is on the island of Nassau, Q was there providing him with the latest in gadgetry.  One of the gadgets included an underwater camera which could take eight pictures in the dark with an infrared film.

Surveillance & Bug Equipment Kit
Used by Bond on the island of San Monique, Bond was able to see that his champagne was on it's way.  He was also able to check and see if his hotel room was bugged with cameras and/or listening devices, which in fact, it was.

Rolex Watch
The watch actually has a rope cutter and it is also magnetic.  The watch comes in handy on many occassions, except when M wants his spoon for his coffee.

Message Watch
When 007 is in the Baffin Mountains of Canada, M needs him to report back to London asap.  M sends him a message on his trusty watch from Q Branch.

Lotus Esprit Turbo Car/Submarine
When Bond arrives in Sardinia with Russian agent Anya Amasova, Q is there to provide 007 with a new car: the Lotus Espirt turbo.  The car is also a submersible vehicle that transforms into a full submarine at the press of a switch!

Seiko Dart Gun Wrist Watch
When Bond is looking for the Moonraker space shuttle, Q provides him with a new Seiko Dart Gun wrist watch.  The darts are cyanide coated causing death in thirty seconds.

Darts
When Bond is given his new Seiko Dart Gun Wrist Watch, he also recieves a box containing ten darts, five blue tipped on the piercing heads.  Five red tipped, with cyanide coating, causing death in thirty seconds.

Identograph
When Bond needs to identify the man who paid Hector Gonzales to kill Timothy Havelock, 007 turns to Q and his Identograph machine.  Once they get a description of the man, they can patch it into the photographic files of the CIA and the west German police, as Q had told Bond already five times!

Seiko Watch with a built in directional finder & TV
When Q plants a homing device inside a replica of a Fabrege Egg, Bond is able to track the villain who steals the egg from Bond.  The watch also comes complete with a closed circuit television on the watch itself!

Sniper Rifle
This Snipers Rifle manufactured by Walther, was a pretty heavy weapon.  It was so heavy, Bond needed to sit in a chair when using it and needed to rest it on the window sill.

Phillips Key Finder
Bond goes to Q's workshop and recieves a load of cool gadgets.  One of them includes this key finder that shoots out stun gas with an effective range of five feet when anyone whistles "Rule of Britannia."  A personalized access whistle for Bond is a wolf whistle.  When that whistle is heard, the key finder explodes, because Q packed the finder with a highly concentrated plastic explosive.  Also included is a key, which opens 90% of the world's locks.

Explosive Alarm Clock
"Guaranteed never to wake up anyone who uses it," Q brings 007 a box full of gadgets including plastic explosive toothpaste, a signature gun, and a camera with a built in laser in the flash.

Signature Gun
When Miss Moneypenny calls Q Branch after Bond goes out on his own as a rogue agent, Q journeys to find Bond in Isthmus City in Mexico to give him a bunch of new gadgets.  One of the items includes a signature gun, which can only be used by the person programmed.

Dentonite Toothpaste and explosive cigarettes
When Bond tries to kill Franz Sanchez, he places this toothpaste with an explosive on the window ledge of his office.  The only thing is the toothpaste is also a highly concentrated plastique and the explosive charge causes a bigger and better explosion than usual.

Walkie Talkie Broom
When Q arrives to help Bond in Isthmus City, he brings along a gadget of his own.  When he needs to contact Bond, he uses this broom with a built in walkie talkie.

Piton Gun
When Bond bungee jumps off of a dam, he is able to stop himself from being crushed by shooting a piton gun at the rock face below.  The gun also has a laser inside which allows 007 free entry into the soviet nerve gas facility, where he will meet fellow agent 006.

Caviga Motorcycle
Not manufactured by Q Branch, 007 takes a ride to catch up with a small airplane on this 1995 Caviga motorcycle he steals from a bad guy.

Binoculars/Still Camera
When Bond tails Xenia Onatopp and Admiral Chuck Farrell to the Manticore Boat, he uses a cool set of binoculars to see what the name of the boat is and takes still images that print out in his Aston Martin photo developer.

Fax Machine/Photo Developer
Placed by Q Branch in the dashboard of Bond's Aston Martin DB5, Bond is able to receive faxes and develop still photos direct from his car!  This comes in handy when he needs id's on Xenia Onatopp and Admiral Chuck Farrell.

BMW Z3 Roadster
The new Bond car featured rocket launchers and a self destruct system.  Of course Q packed the car with "all of the usual refinements" including a directional map display and comfortable seating for two.

Omega Seamaster Diving Watch
When Bond goes to Q's lab, he also recieves an Omega watch with a built in laser.  The laser comes in handy when he has to escape a train just seconds before it explodes.

Parker Pen (Exploding grenade pen)
A class four grenade.  Three clicks arms the four second fuse, and another three disarms it.

Belt with built in piton
Bond uses this belt to swing himself out the window, or through the glass and out the window to escape from the archive facility in GoldenEye.

BMW 750IL
When Bond arrives in Hamburg, Germany, he meets Q who is impeccably dressed in a Avis jacket.  He gives Bond one of his best cars to date:  the BMW 750IL.  With his Erricson Mobile Phone, he can drive the car by remote control.  The car also comes complete with a voice activated navigation system.

Ericcson Cellular Telephone
With 007's new cellularphone, Bond can drive his BMW 750IL by way of remote control built into the phone!

X Ray Glasses
When Bond goes to see Valentin Zukovsky at his casino in Turkey, Bond gets a gadget that many teenage boys would love to have!  X Ray glasses!  Besides looking at the female undergarments around the casino, he also notices that all of the people at the casino are carrying an arsenal of weapons including guns and knives.

Sun glasses
When Bond is sking through Chamonix, he wears these Calvin Klien sun glasses not manufactured by Q Branch.  However, they are still a part of his arsenal of gadgets.

BMW Z8
Bond is given a brand new BMW Z8 automobile complete with rockets, a multi-heads up display, titanium armour, and six beverage cup holders.  The car is presented to 007 by Q and his new assistant, R.


In The World is Not Enough, John Cleese was introduced as Q's assistant, and he will replace him as the head of Q Branch.
