pagent from Pensylvania, Carol Sharker.

Jon's first record bought
is "Blood on the Tracks", by Bob Dylan.

In 1978, he moved from
Joseph's Catholic School to Sayreville High School where he joined the
drama club.

His very first band
he joined in is the 10-piece Jazz band "Atlantic City Expressway" (known
as A.C.E) where he met David Bryan Rashbuam.

After they left the
A.C.E., David attended the Julliard School of Music and Jon joined his
2nd band, "The Rest".

After the "A.C.E." and
"the Rest", he got a work at his cousin -- Tony Bongiovi's studio "the
Power Station", in New York, 1980. He'd worked there for almost 2
years.

Here Jon began making
demos, and formed another 2 bands: "the Lechers" and "the Wild Ones".

He got to work with
David again and they made a demo that contained the song that later became
Bon Jovi's first-ever single "Runaway".

Tony re-recorded Runaway
by hiring some well-known musicians including Roy Bultan (who used to play
piano for Bruce Springteen). He sent the song out to many record
companies but it never got noticed.

Ray Wilhard helped Jon
by sending the demo to the "WAPP's Rock to Riches" radio competition
and they won. Runaway was played by many radio stations. And
Jon was offered many record deals.
- He signed with PolyGram
Records in Manhattan on July 1, 1983.

David and Jon met Alec
John Such, and they were introduced to Hector 'Tico' Torres (who was working
in the studio with the Knockouts and had played with many bands before).

The last member who
joined the band is Richie Sambora.

After forming for 2
months, they'd toured with artists like Eddie Money and ZZ Top.
