The first studio album for 3 years. The songs again represent Jon's new image and style. A mix of Rock and Love Ballads again, similar to KTF. ' This Ain't A Love Song' represents the 'Bed Of Roses' for this album. Hey God, Damned and Hearts Breaking Even the rock tracks. Somehow this album sounds different to KTF, but retaining a similar style.
Diamond Ring suprisingly was written during the New Jersey era, however it never seems to fit on an album until now. It is definately not out of place here.
This is to be Bon Jovi's last album until 1999. There will
also be no BJ touring until then, except their annual Christmas
Shows. It is hard to tell which tracks will stay live and which
will go out. These Days will certainly stay, probably so will Hey
God and Damned. Others I'm not so sure about. Time will tell.
These Days Out-takes
1. Lonely At The Top
2. Nobody's Hero
3. Prostitute
4. The End
5. Wedding Day
6. When She Comes
As with KTF, no bootlegs were available for These Days, all the outtakes were released as B-sides on singles. Various This Ain't A Love Song CD's included between them five tracks, and a special French edition had all the tracks (except No. 2) on 1 CD. None have been performed live and this is the only way to get them.
Nobody's Hero is unreleased. It was performed at a very exclusive Pizza Parlour Jury in 1995, and sounds similar to Always.
