The long-awaited, oft delayed Bon Jovi album, finally released in 2000. After 3 title changes (first Sex Sells, then One Wild Night now Crush), the death of a producer (Bruce Fairbarn) and the changing hands of BJ's record label this album finally reaches us.
This album was recorded entirely in Jon's home studio, Sanctuary II, in New Jersey. Some of the mixing was carried out in New York, but otherwise it's entirely New Jersey made. This is the first album ever recorded by the band in New Jersey.
The album is more rock based than 1995's These Days, many of the tracks have a Slippery When Wet feel to them. The first single, It's My Life rocks and was used as anthem for the football season.
Thank You For Loving Me was inspired by the same line spoken by Brad Pitt in the movie, Meet Joe Black. It's a Bed Of Roses type love song.
Tracks 13 is a bonus track for all non-American releases.

control over the recording sessions and as such no demo's have been
bootlegged. Most of these tracks appeared as b-sides to singles, only Sex
Sells is currently unreleased. Real Life was released as a single in
1999, and was featured on the EdTV movie and soundtrack. Neurotica is
included as a bonus track on the Japanese versions of Crush.
