is used just as much for its symbolism as it is for
practical purposes.

-In modern times, book burning is not as effective as it once was due to the fact that you can burn thousands of copies of one book and there would still be many more left. Book burning is used as more of a gesture of protest to shock people rather than a real meathod of destroying a book completely. |
