Who Is He?

Throughout time, mankind has attempted to answer this question. Some have done so accurately, some have not. The best answer to the question "Who is Jesus",can be found in the Living Word of God...The Bible.

The Word of God presents some truths about Jesus that demand a response. If you seriously study the scriptures, and try to learn more about Jesus, you will find yourself answering the following questions:

1) "What do I think of Jesus?"

2) " Who is Jesus?"

The writer C.S. Lewis wrote in his book Mere Christianity, " You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He did not leave that open to us. He did not intend to". (Mere Christianity, rev.ed.[New York: McMillian,1952],41)

Jesus was not just a great man and a great philosopher. He was- and is- the Son of God and the Son of man...He is the "God-Man" who came to live in a human body, to experience the same temptations we do (yet remain sinless), to win the victory for us over the devil, and to set us free from sin with His sacrifice on the Cross.

Let's check out some of what the Word of God, the Bible, has to say about Jesus.

Jesus is Human! Jesus became our super-natural example as God in human form. Philippians 2:5-11

Jesus is Divine! Even though Jesus became human, He remained God. Colossians 1:15-20

Jesus was on a mission from God! Jesus came to save humans from sin, and to set the captives free. Luke 4:16-21

Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice. Jesus endured tremendous pain so that we could spend a joyful eternity with Him. 1 Peter 2:24

Jesus has great power and can transform you and your life! Jesus can change the most unlikely person into one of the most powerful of God's people, to the Glory of Christ! Acts 4:1-13

Jesus has a kingdom that goes on forever in time and space! Jesus' Kingdom extends beyond all boundaries of time and space. Revelation 1:4-8

JESUS LOVES YOU!

Jesus says "Hear O Israel! The Lord our God is the One and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.' The second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself' " Mark 12:29-31 Once He was ask the most important commandment; that is His answer. Jesus is All about Love!

Now that you know some about Jesus, would you like to ask Him to be your personal savior? He is waiting to accept you just as you are. The things you think about yourself that you hate, Jesus will help you change. He loves you just as you are. He has the power to help you live a great life, the life He has had in mind for you since the beginning of time.

Yes, I want to invite Jesus into My heart, ask Him to be My Lord and Savior!
