The 13 Goals Of A Witch
Know Thyself
One of the most important parts of the craft is getting to know one's self. This is essential
to anyone wishing to practice magick especially. To truely know yourself, you have to acknowledge the good and the bad, the
positive side and the negative.
Know Your Craft
Learn everything you can about the craft. Keep a record of workings in a Book of Shadows,
or Grimmoire. Know the associated topics and religions as well and learn to keep an open mind.
Learn
Read!!! Ask TONS of questions!!! Learn at least three oposing views on every subject.
Explore each branch to its fullest and then base your views on both knowledge and intuition.
Have Patience
Nothing happens over night. Patience is essential. No General ever won the war by giving
up and pursuing other interests. You must learn to be patient with yourself, and with those around you.
Apply Knowledge With Wisdom
Knowledge can take you far, but without the wisdom to use it properly can be dangerous.
Achieve Balance
This applies to all aspects of life. It is important to balance things so that nothing
takes up all of our time and energy. Keep time for relaxing and winding down. Balance your tasks so that you accomplish a
bit everyday rather than work all day then take two days off...then work two days and take one day off. Irregular patterns
can contribute to stress and anxiety and throw you off track.
Keep Your Words In Good Order
Speak your mind gently but firmly, and bite your tongue if your words may harm someone
for no greater purpose. Don't use fowl language or insults as they will only make you feel worse. Think before you speak,
about the consequences of what you are about to say.
Keep Your Thoughts In Good Order
Do not think negative thoughts or dwell on misfortune. Learn from mistakes and put the
past behind you. If someone hurts you, deal with it and move on. Negativity will only hurt you in the end.
Celebrate Life
Be happy for what you have. Be glad you are alive. Every second wonderful things are
going on all around you. Learn to slow down and take time out to appreciate the little things. These are the things that matter.
Attune With The Cycles Of The Earth
Celebrate the Sabbats, and become familiar with the seasons and how they affect you.
This applies also to moon phases and every other natural cycle. Learn about how the earth works and commune with it, to achieve
balance and a closeness.
Keep Yourself Heathy
Do not continue to pollute your body with toxins. Limit your intake of chemicals and
eat natural meats and vegetables. Avoid drugs, smoking, drinking and other self-destructive habits. Life is sacred. Your body
is the temple of your soul.
Meditate
Take time to recharge your batteries. To get in touch with who you are, your feelings,
the earth and the deities. Go someplace quiet and private where you can relax and have a chat with yourself. You will be amazed
at what you find out about your life.
Honor The Goddess And The God
Always remember to thank and honor the Goddess and the God. Celebrate the esbats and
keep in close contact with them. They will guide you through the hard times and laugh with you during the good times, but
you must learn to listen.

The Wiccan Rede
Bide these Wiccan laws ye must with perfect love and perfect trust. Live
and let live fairly take and fairly give. Cast the circle thrice about to keep all evil spirits out; to bind
a spell every time let the spell be spoke in rhyme. Soft of eye and light of touch, speak ye little, listen much.
Deosil go by waxing moon sing and dance ye wiccan rune. Widdershins go by waning moon chanting out the baleful
tune. When the Lady's moon is new, kiss ye hands to her times two. When the moon rides at her peak then your
heart's desire seek. Heed the Northwind's mighty gale, lock the door, and trim the sail. When the wind comes from
the South, love will kiss you in the mouth. When the wind blows from the West, departed souls will have no rest.
When the wind blows from the East, expect the new, and set the feast. Nine wood 'neath in cauldron go. Burn
them fast, and burn them slow. Elderwood, the Lady's tree, burn it not, or cursed you'll be. When the Wheel begins
to turn, soon the Beltane fires will burn. When the Wheel has turned to Yule, light the log, the Horned One rules.
Teaching, flower bush and tree by the Lady, blessed be. Where the rippling waters go, cast the stone, and
truth you'll know. When ye have and hold a need, harken not to others' greed. With a fool, no season spend, or
be counted as his friend. Merry meet and merry part bright the cheeks and warm the heart. Mind the Threefold Law
ye should three times bad and three times good. When misfortune is anow, wear the star upon thy brow. True
in love ye must ever be, lest thy love be false to thee. These eight words in rede fulfill: And ye harm none,
do what thou will.

Charge Of The Goddess
"Listen to the words of the Great Mother, who of old was called Artemis, Astarte,
Dione, Melusine, Aphrodite, Cerridwen, Diana, Arianrhod, Brigid, and many other names:"
Whenever you have
need of anything, once a month, and better it be when the moon is full, you shall assemble in some secret place and
adore the spirit of Me who is Queen of all the Wise
You shall be free from slavery, and as a sign that you be
free you shall be naked in your rites. Sing, feast, dance, make music and love, all in My presence, for Mine is
the ectasy of the spirit and Mine also is joy on earth. For my law is love unto all beings. Mine is the secret
that opens the door of youth, and Mine is the cup of the wine of life that is the Cauldron of Cerridwen that is
the holy grail of immortality. I give the knowledge of the spirit eternal and beyond death I give peace and freedom
and reunion with those that have gone before. Nor do I demand aught of sacrifice, for behold, I am the mother of al
things and My love is poured out upon the earth.
"Hear also the words of the Star Goddess, the dust of Whose
feet are the hosts of heaven, Whose body encircles the universe:"
I Who am the beauty of the green earth and
the white moon among the stars and the mysteries of the waters I call upon your soul to raise and come unto Me. For
I am the soul of nature that gives life to the universe. From Me all things proceed and unto Me they must return.
Let
My worship be in the heart that rejoices, for behold - all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals. Let there be
beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility mirth and reverence within you.
And you who
seek to know Me, know that your seeking and yearning will avail you not, unless you know the Mystery: for if that
you seek, you find not within yourself, you will never find it without. For behold, I have been with you from the
beginning, and I am that which is attained at the end of desire.

Charge of the God
Listen to the words of the Great Father, who of old was called Osiris, Adonis,
Zeus, Thor, Pan, Cernunnos, Herne, Lugh and by may other names:
"My Law is Harmony with all things. Mine is the secret that opens the gates of
life and mine is the dish of salt of the earth that is the body of Cernunnos that is the eternal circle of rebirth. I give
the knowledge of life everlasting, and beyond death I give the promise of regeneration and renewal. I am the sacrifice, the
father of all things, and my protection blankets the earth."
Hear the words of the dancing God, the music of whose laughter stirs the winds,
whose voice calls the seasons:
"I who am the Lord of the Hunt and the Power of the Light, sun among the clouds
and the secret of the flame, I call upon your bodies to arise and come unto me. For I am the flesh of the earth and all it's
beings. Through me all things must die and with me are reborn. Let my worship be in the body that sings, for behold all acts
of willing sacrifice are my rituals. Let there be desire and fear, anger and weakness, joy and peace, awe and longing within
you. For these too are part of the mysteries found within yourself, within me, all beginnings have endings, and all endings
have beginnings." So Mote It BE!
