Welcome to my interests page, this is the place where I take you, the reader on a strange and wonderful journey into what I actually think about stuff.  So then, what stuff do we have to think about?  There are the great mysteries, the quest for the meaning of life, the great questions that have concerned mankind for many millennia.  I keep promising myself that I will actually sit down and write some essays for this section, and some of you out there have expressed disappointment that said essays have not arrived yet, well have no fear I am working upon them, there are just so many subjects to cover, religion, philosophy, art, literature, professional wrestling, beer, monster trucks, bad 70's tv shows, bad 80's tv shows, Mr. T, the list is almost endless.  Here is an introduction to just a few.

Religion  I have always been a seeker of truth, I just haven't always realised it.  We all need to believe in someone or something.  I choose to believe the message of Christianity, to believe in the person and work of Jesus Christ, to believe that He is the one who has the message of eternal life for all humankind.  If you disagree with me that is fine, you do not have to believe it, but I am happy to talk about it with you, just email me or something like that.

Philosophy  Philosophy is the handmaiden of Theology, or so I am told.  I get right off on philosophy, I am constantly finding the need to refine and redefine aspects of my worldview, and so I am constantly aware of the need to understand pilosophy, because it is necessary to the art of understanding ourselves.

Art Art is amazing, I love to paint and draw, and I love to get it right, it's just a pity most jobs in the arts industry pay so bad. So I decided to study graphic design, because it pays better. I like to eat and put petrol in my car.

Computers  Here's where I start to sound like a real geek.  I really love fixing computers, there are few things I find either as frustrating or as challenging.  Getting paid for it is even better.  I have just built myself a new system and it really rocks by mid 2001 standards.

AMD Thunderbird 900MHz overclocked to 990.  Soltek SL75KAV motherboard, 256Mb of PC133 RAM, 32Mb TNT2 Card (although I want a GeForce 2) and a 20Gb IBM hard disk.  Plays a great game of Quake 3 Arena, and has more grunt than a P3-1000.

Volkswagens I love my old kombi van, even though it has no power, no heater, no radio, oil leaks, squeaks, whines, clunks and all the rest. If you wish to contribute to its restoration then email me for deatils of where to send your donations, contributions of over $10000 can have the whole darn car. Sadly though, it is now up for sale, for details, email me.  Sorry, the kombi has been sold, and it has gone to a good home.  Does your VW, Volvo, or Mercedes need work, why not visit my good friends at Anderwald Automotive.  They kept the kombi running for me, and I highly recommend their work.  Find them in the Brisbane White Pages.  In the meantime I have a funky little nissan micra to tear round in. In the future I shall post a tribute to both the kombi and the micra, and to the assortment of toys that adorn their dashboards.

My dearly departed kombi, and no those oil leaks underneath are from another car, I normally parked in the street, so all the kombi oli leaks are out there.

This is the new machine, a 1995 Nissan Micra (aka K11, aka March depending on where you are).  It features a 1275cc 16 valve engine that cranks out a huge 55kW.  How fast does it go?  Well I have have seen about 175 km/h on a slight downhill, or about 168 km/h on a flat piece of road in fourth gear, although I cannot say whether this speed was achieved on a public road or on a private road.  Future modifications planned for this car include a set of N15 Pulsar alloy wheels, and a set of extractors, which should raise engine power to around 75-80kW, and frighten a few V8's along the way, maybe even keep up with the WRX's.  Remember, it's a red one and the red one's go faster.

Beer and Pork Products Do any two food groups go better together than these two? I think not.

Women Come on over girls, while I am still available!
