Will of Thomas Finer ( 1765 ­ 1837 )

 

In The Name of God Amen. I Thos. Finer of High Holborn in the Parish of St. Andrews in the county of Middlesex, Watch Maker do this day March 2nd. in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven make this my last Will and Testement. I so will and bequeath to my son Horatio ffiner All my Real and Personal Property including my share of the stock in trade my interest in the share of the lease of the house my share of the debts all my plate linen and furniture, all my ffunded property I do ordain constitute & appoint my said son sole Executor on condition of his providing for my wife Theodosia ffiner but should said Theodosia ffiner prefer being by herself I do will and bequeath to her eighty pounds per Annum to be paid out of the business in quarterly payments or shorter as she may request Thos. Finer / SS/ Sign'd seal'd published and declared by said testator Thos. Finer and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request subscribe our names as witness thereto.

Whereas I Thos. Finer do by my Codicil will and bequeath to my beloved daughter Louisa Widenham Six hundred pounds three per Cent (Consols) to be transfered in her name two months after my decease given under my hand and seal this 10th day of September 1830

Proved at London with a Codicil / 30th March 1837 before the worshipfull John Haggard (___) of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of Horatio ffiner the son and sole Executor to whom administration was granted having been first sworn duly to administer
