Announce Rocky Mountain Revue The Utah Jazz have announced
the they will host the annual Rocky Mountain Revue at the Delta Center
beginning on July 26 and running through August 2.
The 1999 Revue will
include 11 NBA teams, with the Utah Jazz and the newly crowned NBA Champion
San Antonio Spurs heading the field. The Jazz and Spurs will be joined
by the Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets,
Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trailblazers
and Sacramento Kings.

Jazz Sign Lewis Utah signed Quincy Lewis,
the first of this year's three first-round draft picks, to a multi-year
contract on July 21. Lewis, a 6-7 guard/forward from Minnesota was the
first of three picks by Utah in the first round pick of the 1999 NBA Draft,
the 19th pick overall.

Russell Finishes Playoffs
Strong Although the Jazz lost their
series against the Portland Trail Blazers, one bright spot was the strong
play of Bryon Russell. Other than a five point performace in game three,
he played well all around and contained Rasheed Wallace for most of the
series.
Malone Makes History Five days after winning
the NBA's Most Valuable Player award for the second time in his illustrious
career, Karl Malone became the first player in league history to be named
to 11 All-NBA First Teams on June 8.
Utah's Season Ends With Loss vs. Blazers The Utah Jazz's season ended
on May 27, as they were defeated in the sixth game of their series with
the Portland Trail Blazers. It was a hard fought battle but in the end,
mental mistakes proved to overpower the Jazz's talent and the offensive
