The Billy the Kid 2004 Annual Picnic was a great success
with about 20 in attendance. Our thanks to Bill and Dollie for having
the picnic at their home and providing burgers n' sausage for the meal.
A.D. and Beth brought BBQ ribs, side dishes, and stuffed jalepenos.
Thanks to all for their delicious food contributions.
Bill and Dollie had set up several games to play and after several rounds
of eliminations the winners received raffle tickets.
Next was Bingo where more raffle tickets were given to the winners.
About 50 bottles, some very valuable, were raffled off.
This years' convention was held at the Hilton Memphis
Memphis, Tn. with 283 delegates in attendance.
Once again we had delegates from as far away as Australia and
New Zealand and appreciate the distance they traveled to support the convention.
The mood of the convention was upbeat as Pres. Merritt
and Vice-Pres. Powers reported on various membership
strategies that have already generated new members.
The Bottle Show was a great success with 6 dealers set up in 2 rooms.
