THE PROVINCIAL GUARDIAN

     THERE departed this life at her home Elmwood on Thursday, the 4th inst. Isabelle McIntosh, beloved wife of Donald McPhee in the 74th year of her age.  Deceased was born at Springton, Lot 67, P.E.I.  She was twice married, her first husband being John Buchanan , Colville Road, by whom she had two sons and four daughters namely, Malcolm and Athony, Elmwood; Mrs. Frederick Green, Chelsea, Mass ; Euphemia in Newton Centre; the late Mrs. John McKinnon, Charlottetown, and Mrs. John Russ, Charleston .  By the second marriage there were four sons and two daughters, John in Quincy, Mass; James, Rhode Island; Daniel in Boston; Mrs. Chas E. McDonald, Churchill, P.E.I.; Mrs B.F. McDuff, R.I ; and William at home with whom deceased resided.  There are also twenty-seven grandchildren and two great grand children.  In early life she was brought to a knowledge of the truth and became a member of the Presbyterian Church.  She was visited during her illness by Revs. Mr. McIntosh and Mr. Harrison as well as elders etc. of the church with al of whom she loved to converse respecting eternity.  She bore her illness which was cancer of the stomach without a murmer and died trusting in the finished work of her Lord and Saviour.  The funeral took place on Friday the 5th, to Clyde River Cemetery and was largely attended.  The pallbearers were H. McMillan, Neil McKinnon, Andrew McElroy, James Wynne, John Curley, Nicholas Colwill
