Well, obviously, I can't be telling you our secret battle tactics like, but I can fill you in on a bit of stuff we do, sort of a battle etticie.....ettiket.....err.......manners, yeah, a battle manners guide like.
For one, if you's going to go off and fight someone, do the job proper, and beat em in hand to hand, nothin better than that there aint. Now, some people recommend the use of Death spells like, now I don't agree with that at all, I mean, you're meant to be there for an honourable fight to the death, right? You don't wanna be charging to get stuck in, then gets zapped away do you! It's just not right! Them wizards, they should save those things for wizardly battles like, or special assassinations......you know, wizard stuff, and leave the fighting up to us!
Now I got nothing against other magic being used in combat, as long as its stuff that helps us like, I got a few favourites personally, Confusion is a good un, makes your opponent fight worse than a stupid gobbo it does! Choking gas ain't to bad, starts em coughing and spluttering like, so you can win easier, Mind you, stinks a bit.......
Enchant spells are nice too, always helpful to have a bit more punch in ya axe like.
So, if I'm gonna beat someone in combat, or even lose....yup.....even we ain't perfect.....I wanna be able to say, "We won by being the best fighters, with better tactics", not "Well, Lorne here, he got that spell in slightly faster than you, didn't he..." So....lets see less of the death spells eh?....
Now, some people, have been having problems with all the blokes they were fighting, just running away! This aint good obviously, so, I just tell em too use my tactic like. It's pretty simple, when you get into the fight, go for the legs, then they can't run away! You also find that its much easier to kill a monster by chopping its legs off than its arms, cause, even if they did survive, they canna run away no more can they!
Of course, there's still the problem of choppin their legs off before they run like, so you gotta be quick, never a bad idea to send a few arrows into em as they're running to, helps greatly like. Thorach here, he's our main archer, pretty damn good with that crossbow of his, Shadow aint bad either, once, he took out a giant with his short bow! Was masterful like, took it straight in the eye it did, went down like a felled tree, BOOM! heheh, I enjoyed that I did.
Now, I think that'll do for now, all this tongue waggings making me thirsty like, do us a favour, run along and fetch that bottle in me backpack would you, the one with the blue mark on the side, you be careful with that though, that's me best dwarven spirits that is, a finer drink you wont find this side of...well...anywhere!.....now...what was I saying?.........
