This web page was created during 1998-1999 when I was teaching English in Korea.

It is a cross between a modern blog and an advice column. Although some of the information is dated and no longer as relevant as when I wrote it, the spirit is still very much appropriate. The visitor should disregard any price or rather filter it as a bit outdated. In hindsight the experience was life changing and remains with me as one of the great periods of my life. I lost all passwords to this website for almost 10 years and just remembered it now after 10 years.

I was not prepared for the culture shock I experienced coming back to Toronto which threw me in complete tailspin for almost 6 months.

I am still online and my current website (http://www.christinedemerchant.com) talks about my little boat (hand built in my living room) and my various current interests.
