Hello there!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Karl Freeman, and I'm the Youth Director for Cornerstone United Methodist Church. I am the goofy instigator and motivator behind the AMPM (A Methodist People Machine) youth group at Cornerstone. AMPM is a place for the youth to be youth, a place for the Junior High and High schoolers in the congregation to really carve out a piece of the church for their own. And they do, too!

AMPM runs from the beginning of Junior High until the end of High School, a good six years of fun un-mitigated randomness! Naturally, Bible study figures into our time together as well, but AMPM is much more than simply Sunday School and Bible study. It's a place for the youth of the church to really explore who they are, to find friends in one another, to have a place in the church that is really theirs, and it's a place for them to just be THEM, without a lot of the rules they encounter throughout the day. In AMPM, God meets the students where they are. 

One of the great ways that the AMPM youth stay in touch and communicate with each other is on the AMPM forum board. There are threads with past lessons and discussion topics, games, stories, scheduling, and a WHOLE lot of randomness too!

The forum board is a youth operated function of AMPM. Two of our own High Schoolers take good care of making sure that discussions are appropriate, that language remains friendly, and that the threads stay as on topic as possible in order to make the forum board as functional and friendly as it possibly can be.

We would LOVE to see you on the forum board too! remember that the forum board is for you, the students and members of AMPM, and the more of you that are on it, the more fun it can be and the better in touch you can be with the functions and general "heartbeat" of the group. You can register of rhte forum board at www.cumcampm.proboards74.com You do have to register, but it's free, and the registration keeps it a safe place for everyone involved

AMPM meets every Friday night from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM for Bible study, and again on Sunday afternoons at 1 PM for Sunday school. Everyone in Junior or Senior High is welcome, and we LOVE visitors, so please feel free to drop by and intorduce yoursefl!
