Good Morning!

Welcome to the 17^th Annual Get-Together of the MDH-Cancer Crusaders Club!

Starting this year, every 1^st Sunday of December, the Annual Get-Together of the MDH Cancer Crusaders Club will be held in this new hall, the Metrobank Foundation Hall of Manila Doctors Hospital.

This is the third time that we are moving or changing our venue. From 1988 to 1993, we were using the old MDH Conference Room at the ground floor, near the canteen. From 1994 to 2003, up to last year, we were using the MDH Conference Hall at the second floor, called the Tangco Hall, which was bigger than the first venue. This year, 2004, we are using another MDH Conference Hall, this time called the Metrobank Foundation Hall, located here in this penthouse, and much much bigger than the other two.

Aren’t these changes in venue constitute a sign of progress and improvement?

Higher in location and bigger in size?

Being in this penthouse, doesn’t it make you feel that we are now on top of the world and we are nearer heaven, nearer to God?

Being in a bigger hall, doesn’t it make you feel that our membership is growing bigger and bigger?

Talking about progress and improvement, I was told that there will be a change in the format of this year’s get-together for the better – more participation, more interactions, more fun, etc. – all geared towards making all cancer crusaders stronger, livelier, and healthier – which is the ultimate goal of the MDH-Cancer Crusaders Club!

For these improvement and progress, I like to thank Dr. Dancel, Chuchi, Beth, and other organizers and coordinators for this year’s event.

I also like to thank the administration of Manila Doctors Hospital for supporting our Club by giving us free use of this beautiful hall and free lunch.

Lastly, I thank all of you for coming and wish you all the best for today and for the years to come. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
