Resolution to form an MDH Cancer Support Group and

to adopt Dr. Joson’s Cancer Crusaders Club as the MDH Cancer Support Group

Whereas, the Manila Doctors Hospital’s business plan consists of three interacting areas, namely: health service development, health service delivery, and social responsibility;

Whereas, the Manila Doctors Hospital Cancer Program should have a business plan that runs parallel with the business plan of MDH;

Whereas, the establishment of an MDH Cancer Support Group is the best and the most tangible way of fulfilling the social responsibility of MDH Cancer Program;

Whereas, there exists a cancer support group with the name of Cancer Crusaders Club established by Dr. Reynaldo Joson whose members have been patients of MDH and whose activities have been held in MDH for the past 13 years since it started in 1988; and

Whereas, Dr. Reynaldo Joson is willing to let MDH adopt his Cancer Crusaders Club as the MDH cancer support group;

Resolved, and be it resolved, therefore, that:

1. MDH establishes a cancer support group to provide psychosocial therapy for its cancer patients;

2. MDH establishes a cancer support group that will be used to fulfil its social responsibility in the field of cancer; and

3. MDH adopts Dr. Reynaldo Joson’s Cancer Crusaders Club as its cancer support group starting December 1, 2001.
