Popcorn Pastels
4 quarts popped popcorn
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons margarine
1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter
2 tablespoons flavored gelatin
1 teaspoon baking soda

In a sauce pan, combine sugar, corn
syrup, margarine and cream of tarter.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook
to 250 degrees without stirring. Add
gelatin and cook one minute to 260 degrees.
Remove from heat, add soda and stir in
quickly and thoroughly. Pour while foamy
over popcorn. Mix gently. Return to oven
and bake one hour at 200 degrees. Separate
into small pieces.
