Australian Media Review:
(3 stars) The X-Files at 8:30pm on 10.

Could we be getting closer to discovering the fate of Agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny), missing presumed dead? As usual, this series raises more questions than it answers. Agent Doggett (Robert Patrick) goes on a mission to Pennsylvania to investigate the last case Mulder worked on before his disappearance. There, a lot of weird stuff goes down involving an American Indian shaman with the ability to heal the dying. Whatever will Doggett the doubting Thomas write in his FBI report?

Rob Lowing, The Sun-Herald Television magazine, April 15, 2001.
My Rating: 9/10
What, no Scully? Good to see David Duchovny back in the credits and on the screen even though he had a tiny role in the episode. OK, my opinion? I thought it was excellent and a neat way to explain how Mulder hadn't (at the time of his abduction) succumbed to the same illness that CSM was suffering from.

How does Doggett explain what happened to him though? If he doesn't believe that some things just can't be explained now, he never will. It's also good to see Skinner (now a true believer) sticking up for Mulder and Scully.
