This is a picture of my maternal grandmother, Eva F. Leath or Leith, born in Birmingham, Alabama in Jan. 1880. Her father's name was Frank Leath and mother's name was Vasti Mahalla Hall. From the stories we've heard Eva's parents died when she was eight years old and she went to live with an aunt and her husband, not sure about the name or where they lived. She married a man, last name Irvan, had one daughter, Ruth Irvan, and adopted the daughter out to an immigrant family named . Then Eva had the marriage annulled and married Samuel D. Wristen in Dec. 1897 in Abilene, Texas. They had nine children together, Lance, Carmen, Zoe, Dagna, Elfleda, Samuel, Jr., June, Thelma and Wanda. They eventually moved to California to the San Juaquin Valley and lived around there until they died. I would like to have all the blanks filled in. This is a picture of my father, Vivian and his brother Clyde. To me it looks like a little girl but I was assured it was a picture of Clyde. Clyde is the one in the middle. My grandmother's name was LAURA FRANCES BRANNON, born in Texas April 10, 1886 to Rance and Mary Brannon. Rance and Mary were from Georgia and moved to Texas sometime before Laura was born in 1886. Laura married James Wilson Gilstrap in Texas and they had three living children together. My father, Vivian W. Gilstrap; Clyde and Billie Jean. They moved to The San Juaquin Valley sometime before 1927 when Vivian married Bernice Stone in Fresno, California. Laura died May 18, 1951 in Oceano, San Luis Obispo, California. This is all the information we have on her. We don't even know if she had brothers or sisters. Hoping to hear from someone who knows of her and her parents.
