Tess, also played by Kelly Monaco, enters Port Charles. Jack finds her in a cave and thinks it's Livvie at first, playing games with him. Tess is a very scared girl that can't talk and has been living in a cave for who knows how long. She hums and carries this doll around with her. Tess has never been around people and she's all dirty and scraggly looking and will not leave the cave. So Jack stays there with her and teaches her how to talk and starts to fall in love with her. He finally gets her to leave the cave and takes her to his house where she gets all cleaned up and pretty.
Tess has healing powers so they send her to the hospital for tests and find out that she has no DNA. The hospital is where Tess and Livvie finally come face to face and when they see each other they both freak out, of course Livvie hates her automatically but Tess has a pure heart. Tess and Jack get married and Tess has some kind of connection with Caleb and can't stay away from him but he doesn't want her, he wants Livvie. So to keep Livvie safe from Caleb somehow Tess gets Livvie inside of her body and now they are one again and Tess has DNA because of it. Come to find out Caleb pulled the good out of Livvie and made Tess from Livvie's body.
Caleb tries everything to get Livvie out of Tess so they can be together. By Caleb doing this, Tess ends up in the hospital and almost dies so Caleb promises her he won't try to get Livvie out again. A music box when opened brings Livvie out but when closed she snaps back into Tess. Tess befriends Caleb and brings out the good in him and gets him to talk about how he became a vampire. Jack doesn't like his wife always spending time with Caleb but something keeps drawing her to him. Caleb tries to fight his feelings at first because his is convinced that Livvie is the one he wants. The more him and Tess are together, the more he likes her and she likes him. Everyone tricks Tess into meeting Caleb so they can bring Livvie out and kill Caleb and they manage to do this and then they bring Tess back and she is hurt and upset that they used her to to kill Caleb because she sees the good in him.
Tess goes to where Caleb is dead waiting to be buried and uses her healing powers to bring him back to life and it works and they leave together. Tess goes back to Jack's and they break up and Tess leaves and runs into Kevin and all he wants is his daughter, Livvie back and he has the music box. Kevin takes Tess home and brings Livvie back, meanwhile Caleb can always feel when something is wrong with Tess so he shows up at Kevin's and destroys the music box and brings Tess back and poof their gone and they make love for the first time. Now Tess and Caleb are in love with each other. So will we ever see Livvie again? And if Tess lets Livvie out what will happen?
Well now Livvie is back and Tess is gone, is she gone forever or will she return one day?
