We will be using Gran Tursimo 3 A-spec for an example

Things you will need.
* A scientific calculator the Windows calculator will do.
* A European Pro Action Replay code (PAL code). For PAL codes go to codejunkies.com
* An American Action Replay code (NTSC code). For NTSC codes go to codejunkies.com
* At least half descent math skills.

STEP #1
Get your calculator ready by doing the following… By clicking on Start > Programs > Accessories > Calculator… Then by clicking on the View drop down menu then by clicking on Scientific and finally by clicking on the little Hex bubble…

STEP #2
Find a PAL code for the game your looking for… NOTE both codes must be for the exact same thing i.e. the PAL code and the NTSC code must have the same code title for this to work.

STEP #3
Find a NTSC code for the game your looking for… NOTE both codes must be for the exact same thing i.e. the PAL code and the NTSC code must have the same code title for this to work.

STEP #4
Take the 5th to 8th digits of the PAL code 1C02B058 1456E7A5 and the 5th to 8th digits of the NTSC code 1C020758 1456E7A5.
So that’s like this…
PAL digits = B058
NTSC digits = 0758

STEP #5
Do this with your calculator… B058 – 0758 = A900. Remember this number A900 because this is the number you will use to convert the code for Gran Turismo 3 A-spec…

STEP #6
Find the PAL code you want to convert let’s say it’s the New Beetle Cup Car for a fiver code

1C114058 1456E7A5

STEP #7
Do this with your calculator.
Take the 5th to 8th digits of each line of the PAL code and subtract them by A900…
So that’s like this
For code line #1) 1C114054 1456E7A2 > 1C114054 1456E7A2 > 4054 – A900 = 9754
Same thing goes for code line #2) 1C114058 1456E7A5 > 1C114058 1456E7A5 > 4058 – A900 = 9758.

STEP #8
Now is all you have to do is simply replace the 5th to 8th digits of the PAL code with the ones you just calculated up for each line of the code, code line one was 9754 and code line two was 9758…
So that’s like this…
For code line #1)
1C114054 1456E7A2 > 1C11____ 1456E7A2 > 1C119754 1456E7A2.
For code line #2)
1C114058 1456E7A5 > 1C11____ 1456E7A5 > 1C119758 1456E7A5.

Now your working NTSC code for the Action Replay is…
