Name: Lindsay Bradshaw (awesome95@hotmail.com)
Birthdate: September 5th, 1983
Hometown: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Horse: Kennbec (Kenny), an 8 year old, bay Dutch Warmblood (KWPN) gelding
Training and Competing Level: With my mother he has done Basic 4 and has been to Heidemann, Sue Rothgab, Libby Mcmullen, and Cara Whitam clinics.
Trainer: Cindy Matheson, Jill Bradshaw
Comments: I began riding when I was 3 with a good background in pony club. I have done jumpers and came 5th overall at the CET medal regional finals. I have shown up to the 4'6 division and hope to do more. I showed FEI JR's with the highest score of the year the first time showing that level. I am grateful to have the opportunity to be long listed for the team, and maybe in the near future be able to compete for Canada.

Name: Cecily Burbidge
Birthdate: February 16, 1983
Hometown: Dundas, Ontario
Horse: Leiben, an 8 year old Dutch Warmblood gelding
Training and Competing Level: In 2001, we're starting the year off in Basic 3/4 and hope to move up to Junior level by the end of the summer.
Trainer: Camilla Giffen
Comments: I started riding when I was 5 and three years ago decided that dressage was the discipline for me. On a couple older, experienced horses I was able to get lots of miles in the lower Basic levels. We purchased Lieben in October '99 and last year we showed Basic 2/3. Eventually I hope to compete Young Riders with Lieben.

Kristine Caroline and Royal Fling Name: Kristine Caroline
Birthdate: August 14th, 1985
Hometown: Barrie, Ontario
Horse: Royal Fling (Dante), a 12 year old Thoroughbred gelding
Training and Competing Level: Training and showing FEI Junior
Trainer: Jacquie Brooks
Comments: I started riding Dante (Royal Fling) as a hunter we were very successful. One day we decided to give dressage a try. Therefore we did and we haven't jumped since that day. We showed Basic 1 and 2 at the Trillium level and came 2nd in Ontario. We then showed Basic 4 and came 2nd in Canada. We are now showing at the FEI Junior level and have done very well. I am very proud of Dante. My future goals are to make the Canadian team and travel to Paxton Farms. I hope Canada does very well and has a lot of fun. We have some very talented horses and together as a team I think we will be very successful. Good luck Canada!!!!

Joyce Cameron Name: Joyce Cameron (cameron_joyce@hotmail.com)
Birthdate: November 14, 1985
Hometown: Meaford, Ontario
Horse: : Demex, a 16 year old grey Dutch Warmblood (KWPN) gelding. We've owned him for about 8 years. Although I have only ridden him for the past 3 years, we are doing very well.
Training and Competing Level: Demex is trained up to Prix St. George, but myself only to Medium 2/3. I have never shown him dressage, but my mom has. I have shown dressage on other horses though, but only Basic 3/4. This is actually a big change for me as I've only shown him Jumper in the past. Actually as well as the Junior riders, I hope to show Demex in the Jr/Am section 3 this year.
Trainer: I'm trained by my mom, for dressage, and Greg Juszczyk for jumping.
Comments: There are so many things that I want to do, or have done. I want to be an exercise rider at a Thoroughbred farm, temporarily. Be able to jump and show dressage at Grand Prix level. I have jumped Grand Prix height on Demex. My show record is kind of everywhere.....there's probably not a kind of show that I haven't done!! My first year jumping I was 3'6" Jumper Champion, and last year I placed third in my 3'9" division. In 1998 Demex was Medium 1/2 Canadian Champion!! I live on a Breeding Farm in Meaford, Ontario...which I love!! We are having only one foal this year, but I hope to buy some more weanlings.

Stephanie Chalaturnyk and Elicard Name: Stephanie Chalaturnyk (lochwood.king@sympatico.ca)

Training & competing level: Elicard is trained to Grand Prix and is showing F.E.I Junior. Lochwood's Indiana is training Medium 1 and has shown Basic 4
Trainer: Belinda Trussel
Comments: I hope to ride Elis (Elicard) in the North American Junior Championships next year and I hope to show Tiny (Lochwood's Indiana) at Young Riders in 2 or 3 years. This year was excellent for me with both horses, I wasn't sure if I would be showing Elis, so I was just happy to get out. I started riding hunter when I was 8 yrs old. I switched over to dressage about 3 yrs ago and leased a horse for awhile. We bought Tiny 2 yrs ago. It was a bit of a surprise for us because we weren't really looking seriously and we were looking for a 10 year old gelding (we got Tiny when she was 4).

Heather Doherty and Zhivago
Name: Heather Doherty (kings_girl@hotmail.com)
Birthdate: September 20, 1984
Hometown: Sharon, Ontario
Horse: Zhivago is a 13 year old TB gelding. In the barn he is known as King. I have only had him for 8 months, he came down from a barn out west in Alberta. He is a wonderful schoolmaster and a great guy to learn on.
Training & competing level: King and I competed for our first year in FEI Jr. It was a great experience and I think we both learned a lot about each other. I did much better than I had expected and for my first year in the Dressage world. I had a good time getting to know everyone and their mounts.
Trainer: Lee Tubman
Comments: I first started riding when I was 4. Then later in life I decided to get into Hunters, after three years of that I decided that jumping was not for me. I started riding Dressage in February 2000, and am still loving every minute of it. I hope that next year, I will be able to compete with my fellow juniors at the North American Junior Championships. I am very fortunate to have such a fantastic horse and coach, I look forward to the future, as we head into 2001.

Becky Elming and Domingo Name: Becky Elming (beckyelming@hotmail.com)
Birthdate: April 28th, 1985
Hometown: Uxbridge, Ontario
Horse: Domingo, a coming seven, 16'3hh, Rheinlander. We got him from John Costin in November 2000, Mr. Costin brought him from Holland in April 2000. I am also riding and showing Ie Ken, an eight year old, 17'2hh, grey Oldenberg.
Training & competing level: Domingo and I will be showing FEI Junior, and Ie Ken and I will be showing basic four this year.
Trainer: Tom Dvorak and Kim Goodyear
Comments: In March 2001 I had the opportunity to travel to Florida for ten days so Domingo and I could get in the ring together before the trials started here.He was amazing! We were the only junior pair in the classes so naturally I was a little nervous, but the show was a success. We were eighth, first and third, it was really fun. I am looking forward to showing both horses this year and I wish everyone the best of luck.

Name: Pia Fortmuller
Birthdate: March 28, 1985
Hometown: Hannover, Germany
Horse: Her first show experiences she collected in Canada on big horses, on the Thoroughbred mare "Markant Pleasant" and "Doric's Irish" in hunter and equitation shows. Then she trained, showed and sold on the Spruce Meadows Auction the filly from Doric's Irish "Riish".
Pia's interest in Dressage really "kicked in" when she took over the FEI level horse "Alascan" (by her Mom trained and bred by her grandmother). He is an Hanovarian born in Germany sired by Alpius - Akzent I and Werdandi by Wohlklang - Alexander. The mother of "Alascan" was Pia's Mom's first serious dressage show horse. Training and Competing level: competing FEI Junior
Trainer: Dagmar Fortmuller
Comments: Pia was riding even before she was born, her mother remembers falling of a horse on a horseshow jumping 7 months pregnant. They always had horses and other animals and her first riding experiences was on a black little Shetland Pony and a Donkey. Both her parents were active riders.

I have trained in both jumping and dressage for the past about 13 years, I showed mostly in jumping, but I really look forward to show in dressage this season. Amateur was just imported from East Germany recently, and I've been riding him for about one month now.

Jessie Holmes and Argentina Name: Jessie Holmes (cedarhill@sympatico.ca)

Hometown: Roslin (near Belleville), Ontario
Horse: Argentina, a 13 year old Hannoverian mare standing 16.2hh.
Training & competing level: Argentina has been trained to Medium 2.
Trainer: Annaliese Farber
Comments: I started riding at three yrs old and began taking lessons at six, from Mel Burnett-Grumoff (Trenton Dressage Festival) I was a member of the Highland of Hastings Pony club until its' demise and have shown hunters, jumpers, eventing and lots of dressage, including some walk trot with young warmbloods.
My family is involved in breeding and I have been the groom and part time handler of numerous line horses.
In 2000 I competed on Graffity, a 16.1hh Hannoverian mare, and finished the season as reserve champion basic 2 and basic 3 at the Ontario Championships. Unfortunatly in December of 2000, Graffity suffered a fractured pelvis and had to be put down.
Longtime friend and Hannoverian breeder, David Burke of Pangaea Farms, pulled Argentina out of his brood mare field in January of 2001, and we started working with her. She has been progressing very well and we hope to have a successful show season.

Training & Competing Level: "Blitz" has never shown but we are training for the FEI Junior Program.
Trainer: I train with John MacPherson as a working student and enjoy every minute of it. As a working student, I have learned more, and have realized how much I don't know and need to learn, than I would have just by taking weekly lessons.
Comments: I hope to make a career out of riding and have been taking retired racehorses from the track, retraining them (I think they are training me) and selling them to good homes. This has helped me to learn to deal with different horse personalities (they are not very patient with me sometimes but I'm learning) and gives these old guys a new career.

Dressage is a huge part of my life and will even determine which university I go to next year. I will be taking BEAR with me so that we can continue learning and try for Young Riders in the future. Maybe I should take him to some classes with me and see if he gets smarter!
