Virtual Reality News! -Phillips has announced that they have officially sold out of all of their remaining inventory of Scuba Headsets. They did announce however that they are working on headsets to be released in the future. They will include better sound and increased resolution.

V.R. Headsets Virtual IQ Glasses for the computer or video game systems- Several models of this name were released. They decided to go with the glasses form so you can switch from viewing your game to watching whats going on around you. In other word they are clear. There are also models available with a headtracker for speacial computer games.
V.R. for the Atari Jaguar (cancelled)- In the early 90's Atari teamed up with the largest producer of V.R. in the U.S. to produce a rendition of a special V.R. headset previously only used in select arcades. It was a semi-high resolution headset that was compatable with certain games that were made for it. There were 5 or 6 games announced, only 3 were actually made for the arcade unit and one was made for the Jaguar unit which unfortunatly never came out. The game that did come out was Missle Command 3D but it could only be used with the controller, obviously. I will post a reveiw up for Zone Hunter one of the games that came out for the arcade unit later. Scuba Headset- info to come.... |
