ELVIS CROWNED CANADIAN SKATING KING ONCE AGAIN!

Elvis Stojko had another magical night after skating his long program to the music from Merlin and winning his 5th Canadian National title. All of his fans are pleased to see him doing so well after suffering a severe groin injury during his long program at the 1998 Winter Olympics Games. Even with the injury, he bit the bullet and amazingly won his second Olympic silver medal.
WAY TO GO, ELVIS! We look forward to seeing him at the World Championships at Helsinki in March.

ELVIS IS A HUGE SUCCESS IN HELSINKI

Elvis may not have succeeded in bringing home the gold from Helsinki but he did succeed in his battle against a severe groin injury. After a year and a half of one step forward and 2 steps back, he is, in his own words "100%" again and he let the world know it with his 4th place win at the '99 World Championships. He was the only man to attempt 2 quads in his long program, the second being a quad-double! He had a slight touchdown of both feet his first quad but had no problem whatsoever landing his quad-double. This man is a major contender so watch out world - the 2000 skating season is right around the corner!

CONGRATULATIONS ELVIS!!

MAY 14 UPDATES

In the news: Elvis broke his collarbone after slamming into the boards when he caught an edge during practice. He will off the Champions on Ice Tour until after he heals. Last I heard he is to rejoin the tour in California.

It seems Elvis and his coach of 14 years, Doug Leigh, have parted ways. Mr. Leigh said to the press it was an amicable split. Elvis will train with his choreographer, Uschi Kezler. We wish all of them the best. To read more about this click on the SLAM figure skating link below.
