You joke with your friends
About your ball and chain
And of single people
You call them strange
So of your own misery
Others must also sustain
You made the choice to commit
Little did she know she married a hypocrite
But just because I am free
Does not mean I have to take your baloney
Cross my path with an attitude
And I have the health to get you latitude
It is okay to be a proud family man
But do not call the independent woman and man
Any more hypocritical names you plan
Your obvious envy of our time is boringly bland
And quit teaching your children that singles are not straight
You hide that most singles are straighter than you by far
Not only sexually straight but emotionally straight we are
You over protect your children by never telling them the burden they are
