Running:
I'm a big fan of running (which is fortunate because I'm
normally late). Foolishly I decided it was a good idea to try
and train to run a Marathon. The
WWT run below is the
one Wil and I decided to go for. Its
between two ancient stonecircles, can't beat some hippyloverunnin!

Diabolo: Just completed workshop
in Glastonbury, all good fun. When at Sheffield Uni
learnt a few tricks at
the club there
and give me a nice empty beach and I'm away!

Tai Chi: Not been doing much
recently as uni is in summer hols.. I've almost got the hang
of the first form but am mostly doing this as a
nice
way to chill out the start of my weeks. The process of fine
motor control and co-ordination of movement feels really great as you
start to get the feel for a move.

Films: Of almost all kinds,
keen to go see the
Ladykillers but no-one will come. Not supposed to Coen Bro's
best but still looks fun.
Ain't it cool is good
for news and this is the
best video shop in the world!

Psychology:
I am currently studying for a
phd at the
University of Bristol under the
supervision of
Dr Jeff Bowers. I'm looking at semantic learning and the
processes by which we come to learn meanings for things/ concepts in
the world. At the moment I'm carrying out an initial pilot study
teaching people to associate new words with different categories and
looking at how this affects prior knowledge. I'm also keen to
work on computational modelling of
semantic memory with particular interest in
consolidation process models and the overlap between linguistic
and representational systems. There are some links to good
articles on these areas below.
