What do I get for the adoption fee?

In the case of an adult cat, you receive proof of shots, proof they've been tested and are negative for FIV/FELV, any medical or dental work they need, spay or neuter and access to medical records from Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital.    All cats have been seen by a veterinarian and have been de-wormed, bathed and treated for fleas.

Kittens are tested for FELV.  FIV testing cannot be performed until 5 months old.  The first set of shots are given.

If the adoption doesn't work out,  Cat Connection wants you to return the animal to us.   Even though you've adopted the cat, we might from time to time call to see how he or she is doing.  Our top concern is the well being of the cat.

What happens to the money I donate?

Cat Connection survives on donations.  We are a non-profit organization.  The donation money goes toward veterinary bills.  We rescue from the shelter hospitals, and this is expensive.  We are all volunteers, there are no paid staff.

Do you have cats with special needs?

We have some that are FIV or FELV positive, along with others that have some physical injuries/traumatic ordeal that require special care. These animals require attention above and beyond the average cat.  If you have a big heart and the time to give the extra effort, it's incredibly rewarding.  Contact us if this sounds like you.
