The Hebrew Bible and the Septuagint

Books of the Septuagint which do not exist in the Hebrew Bible but are included in the Catholic Old Testament (deuterocanonical books) are shown in red and bold colour. Green and italic colour indicate those who do not belong to the Catholic Old Testament. Note that in Catholic Old Testament, Letter of Jeremiah is combined with Baruch (becomes its sixth chapter); Prayer of Azariah and Song of Three Young Men become Daniel 3:24-90 while Susanna and Bel & Dragon become its 13th and 14th chapters. In both Catholic and Protestant's Old Testament, the twelve minor prohets (Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi) are separated into twelve books. On the other hand Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, Ezra-Nehemiah are each separated into two books.
