Thanksgiving Reunion Happy Occasion For Mead Family

Thanksgiving Day was a happy occasion for the Mead family of Itasca.
Last Thursday 58 members of the family from over Texas and Oklahoma,
gathered at the Wid Mead home two miles west of Itasca for a family
reunion and Thanksgiving dinner.
Two servings on six huge tables were required to accomidate the
guests. All of the group, with the exception of N.A. Caruthers, were
descendents, or relatives by marriage, of Mr. and Mrs. Lott P. Mead,
pioneer residents of Itasca, who came to this section about 80 years
age. Mr.Caruthers came to live with the Lott Mead family as a youth
and remained with them until he married.
