MRS. AVA MCMILLAN
1918-2000

Mrs.Ava McMillan, 81, of Waco, died Thursday, at a Clifton hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Valley Mills First Baptist
Church, with the Rev.Kyle Reese officiating. Internment will be at Valley
Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Friday at Foss Funeral Home.
Mrs.McMillan was born Feb.24,1918 near Whitney. She was the daughter of
Will and Nettie (Hix) Mallory. Se married Virgil McMillan in 1937, Moshiem.
She was employed with Piccadilly Cafeteria for 35 years, until she retired
in 1991. She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church of Waco.

Survivors include her husband and two daughters, Donna Thompson and
husband Richard of Waco and Jennifer McMillan of Waco; one son Phillip
McMillan and wife Charlotte of Bend,Texas; one grandson, Eric McMillan and
wife Selena; one great-grandson Bryce McMillan; one step-daughter, Sherry
Lynn Murphy; one brother, Leand Mallory of Huntsville; and serveal nieces
and nephews.

Loretta Margarine Moore, 92, passed away Dec. 26
1999 at a local hospital. Services will be held
at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999 at Heritage
Memorial Chapel with Rev. Greg Brumit
officiating. Internment at Waco Memorial Park.
The family will recieve friends from 7-8 p.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moore was born July 22, 1907 to John
William Tadlock and Elizabeth Dorris Tadlock in
Montgomery County, Texas. She was a seamstress
at Gilburith Manufacturing. On Oct. 31, 1924
she married Lonnie Lee Moore in Golinda, Texas.
He preceded her in death in 1986, along with a
son, Ollie Lloyd Moore. Pallbearers will be Mike
Moore, Dale Pattillo, Larry Lehmann, Bill Graham,
Josh Lehmann, and Bob Harris.

Survivors include: a son Arthur C. Moore and
wife Gwendolyn of Waco; a daughter, Margie Oma
Brown of Waco, four grandchildren: eight great
grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Hazel Terry

McGREGOR - Hazel Terry, 89, a retired McGregor educator,
died Sunday night, Aug. 5, 2001, in Hurst. Services will
be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel,
1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Bert Mercer and Pat
Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at McGregor
Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m.,
Tuesday at Cole Funeral Home.

Mrs. Terry was born Northwest of Aquilla in Hill Country,
May 1, 1912, the daughter of the late Charley and Leta
Blocker) Cardwell. She was a 1930 graduate of Aquilla High
School and earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1937 from
Abilene Christian University. On Aug. 23, 1945, she married
Ralph Terry in Hillsboro. He preceded her in death on Jan. 26,
1984. For six years, she taught in the Aquilla School System
prior to moving to McGregor in the 1940s, at which time she
taught seventh and eighth grade math for 38 years.
In the early 1970s, she retired after devoting 44
years to her teaching profession.

She was a member of the Sixth and Adams Church of
Christ in McGregor where she was a Sunday School
teacher for all ages prior to affiliating with Crestview
Church of Christ in Waco. She was a member of the Texas
Retired Teachers Association and Beta Sigma Phi.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce
and Barbara Terry of West Virginia and Craig and Ava Terry
of South Lake; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

the Abilene Children’s Home, for memorial contributions.
