Have children create different road vehicles with precut shapes.

Giant Bus
Have children paint a giant bus shape to place on the wall. They can colour picures to place in the windows for scenery - set up on the wall.

Traffic Light
Have the children create a 3D traffic light using a carboard box and a paper towel tube.

Children can cut and paste various traffic signs from construction paper.

Red Light, Green Light Game
Children line up at one end of the room/playground. One person is the caller (at the other end) and has his/her back to the group. He/She starts by yelling out "GREEN LIGHT" and the other children run towards the caller. The caller can yell out "RED LIGHT" at any time and turns around quickly, anyone caught still moving forward has to go back to the start line and begin again. Game ends when someone reaches the caller. Start a new game with a different caller.

Ramps - Set up ramps of various degrees and have children experiment to see which are the fastest/slowest and allow the cars to go furthest.
