Nestled in picturesqe San Timeteo Canyon in Redlands Calfornia is Sunset Hills Equestrian Center. Tiered up a canyon of its own, it is easy to understand how this beautiful ranch acquired its name. At the top of the ranch is a large show arena with a view that overlooks San Timoteo Canyon and the Santa Ana River that runs through it. Surrounded by wild life and rolling hills, an atmosphere of tranquility abounds.

Managed by the very competent, Val Tonto, and her daughter, Elaina, every aspect of horse care is provided. Each brings their own talents to the ranch and lessons and training are offered in everything from walk-trot to over fences. Many of the clients of Sunset Hills have been with them for many years. The table in front of the main barn is the central point to catch up on the latest happenings in the horse industry. The coffee pot is always on and Sunday trail rides are enjoyed by staff and boarders alike.

Sunset Hills Equestrian Center is very active in the community. Students and staff alike participate in the Redlands Parade. Here is Val with young riders escorting the Sunset Hills float.
