James Bond 007 Game by Nintendo Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Size: 4 megabits Save: Battery with 3 save slots Released: 1997 Works with: all Gameboy versions **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: I, like just about everybody, loved Goldeneye 007 on the N64, but will I love this game? **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: James Bond 007 plays much like it's N64 brethren, but without the shooter style action. In James Bond 007 you rarely use a gun. It's more about stealth, which you must use to complete the various missions. These range from fighting bosses to completing complex trading sequences. Liked: Varying objectives. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: The graphics in JB007 are really good. If you expect this game to look like Goldeneye, then you are kidding yourself. The levels look very dissimilar from each other. The characters are well-detailed and easy to tell apart. Liked: Detailed graphics. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: The music in James Bond 007 just plain rocks. This game sounds just like a Bond movie. The sound fx aren't very good, though, because they sound out of place. Liked: The great music.(Including the classic Bond theme) Hated: The out-of-place sound fx. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: James Bond 007 controls like a dream. It controls just like Zelda: Link's Awakening. You can set what object you want to use for each individual button. The game design is great. Each level has you doing all kinds of neat things. Liked: Perfect Controls. Hated: Nothing. **************************************************************************** Improve: Make the sequel slightly easier. It gets old having to use med-kits very regularly. RIYL: Goldeneye 007, Metal Gear **************************************************************************** Final Words: James Bond is a great game, but be warned it's fairly tough. This is as close to Goldeneye as the Game Boy is gonna get. Grab this game and play the hell out of it. Now!!! **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: ***** Graphics: ***** Sound/Music: ***** Play Control/Game Design: ***** Personal Opinion: ***** Total: 25 out of 25 Final Score: 100 % **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: Enter your name as any of the following names to play one of the card games in the game.
