Asteroids / Missile Command Game by Nintendo Reviewed by Robby Cox koi@magicnet.net Size: 2 Megabits Save: None Released: 1995 Works with: all Gameboy versions Opening Snide Remarks: Asteroids and Missile Command on one cartridge. This game has got to kick major tail. Gameplay: If you have ever played Asteroids or Missile Command then you know what to expect. Asteroids is a rather simple game, that is always seemed hard to me. You control a spaceship in outer space and you have to shoot the asteroids that try to destroy you. Missile Command is a personal favorite of mine. In Missile Command, missiles are bombarding the Earth and you have to destroy them before they can destroy you. These games are just as good now as they were then. Graphics: The updated graphics are a huge step up from the original graphics. Asteroids looks really nice, with asteroids so detailed that you can see craters on them. Missile Command looks almost as nice, but not quite. You get to choose between the updated graphics and the original graphics. But the updated graphics are so good that you will never play with the original ones. Sound: Very limited sound. Old-school sound effects are in abundance. Music: There is almost no music in either game. The only music in the whole game is after you clear a level, and on the menu screens. Play Control: Super-simple controls in both games. The joypad controls your direction and the "A" and "B" buttons fire. The controls fit these games well. They are arcade perfect. Final Analysis: If you love retro games, if you love either of thesegames, or if love great games period, then you must buy this game. These games are arcade perfect and I really mean it.
