Opening Snide Remarks: NFL Blitz on the N64 is my favorite football game of
all time.  I hope the Gameboy version can live up to my expectations.


Gameplay: The gampelay in NFL Blitz is excellent.  It's football at it's
simplest.  You have 4 downs to move the ball 30 yards.  The differences
between versions is fairly small.  In the Gameboy version your player can't
stiff arm.  On defense, tackling the opposition is awkward.  When the player
goes to tackle someone, he only jumps a little bit where on the N64 he leaps
for about 5 yards.  This game is probably as close to the arcade and N64
versions as it can get.       


Graphics: The graphics in NFL Blitz are decent.  The use of color on Game Boy
Color is very limited.  The full-motion video used when tackling or after
scoring a touchdown is excellent. The players are small and are lacking in
detail but still get the job done. The graphics are very similar to the NES
classic 10 Yard Fight.   


Sound: The sound effects in NFL Blitz are very lame.  The sound effects sound
like a poor rip-off of Pac-Man.  The sound effects are totally inappropriate.


Music: What music?  To my knowledge, NFL Blitz does not contain any music.


Play Control: This is area that NFL Blitz gets a perfect score on.  The
players respond well and the controls are not overly complicated.  You can
make your players pass, run, tackle, jump, turbo-run, and use spin-moves.
This game gets this right. 


Final Analysis: If you love NFL Blitz or are just looking for a great
football game for your Gameboy then NFL Blitz is a must buy.  This is a great
game that I will play for years to come.  By the way, this game supports the
Game Boy Printer, with it you will never have to write down a password again.
This is a great feature that I hope many other games will use in the future.
