Bart Simpson's Escape From Camp Deadly Game by: Acclaim/Nintendo Review by: Fred The Mew Fredsite2@aol.com Save: No save capabilities. Released: 1991 Works with: All Gameboys Opening Snide Remarks: Bart Simpson. We all know him as that cantankerous little snert who's always terrorizing the morally-questionable citizens of Springfield. Now Imagine that in the early '90s Acclaim wanted to make a video Game out of this happily spawning franchise. One would assume that this game would be something where you could parade through springfield on little quests of Mischief and insight into the world created by Matt Greoning. Instead you find Bart walking and jumping through some crude scenery while avoiding and hitting two races of goons. Tsk Tsk.... such wasted potential. Gameplay: Walk Jump Throw. Walk Jump Throw Climb. Get the Picture? Graphics: Imagine a side-scroller with a $150 budget. Bart and lisa look about right, but everything else could have been surpassed by a blind-folded toddler with an Etch-A-Sketch. Use A GBC or SuperGameboy to get a blue colored sky. Sound: Sound affects done by a disgruntled minimum wage amatuer programmer. You get the Voices of Bart and Lisa when Either of them are hit, but the merit of this gets cancelled out do to the horrible sound affects found when a spitball get fired. Music: Three or four bone shivering themes from the Simpsons, Each with its own horrid quality of catching in your head on a bad day. Turn the sound OFF!!!!! Play Control: Same as gameplay. If you cant handle this, try your luck at pong for a couple weeks. Final Analysis: If you're a total simpsons freak, then maybe you could get it so you could honestly say that you have all the simpsons stuff. But if your looking for a gameboy game to take with you on an interstate road trip, Take Tetris, take Pokémon, take Pac-Man.... Anything but Camp Deadly! Gameplay: ** Graphics: * Sound: 0 Music: * Play Control: ** Total: 6 Final Score: 24% Currently Known Codes: There are no codes for this game. Only a mini-game code could make this game worth getting.
