Bubble Bobble Game by Taito Review by The Avardancer Size: 512 Kilobits Save: Password, Alphabetic, four characters. Released: 1991 Works with: Any version of Gameboy Opening Snide Remarks: Those disgustingly cute dinosaurs are back! Actually, I like the Arcade game. I've beaten the NES game and I hope that there's more to this game then that. Gameplay: NEW STUFF! This is a real simple game to play. You just blow bubbles to trap enemies and then pop the bubble to defeat the enemies. Once all the enemies are defeated you go to the next level. There are over one hundred levels with a password save. It's serious fun and it is addictive. The game plays like the arcade version. And is a bit mindless; but that is okay by me. Graphics: The graphics are easy to see and there's not much detail. The graphics do the trick. The game sprites are not very large; but the arenas are nice and big. Sound: Generic bounce and blow sounds. (let me rephrase that.) The sounds are standard Gameboy sounds. Though they are appropriate for the on-screen action and they are clear too. Music: Practically one song that loops during the entire game. It's madness! The music can get annoying. This game presents another reason for headphones, and the volume switch. Play Control: A little off. But it works. The dinosaurs float a little bit; but it's because they are "light". The game control and hit detection may seem a bit biased at times; but controls make sense and the game is easy to get into. Final Analysis: If you have played Bubble Bobble and you like it, get this game. If you haven't played, try it out first. I like it because now I don't have to spend quarters and tokens on it in the arcade. The game is not for everyone; but that is okay. It isn't the best game out there; but it is far from the worst. SCORE. Gameplay: ***** Graphics: **** Sound: *** Music: *** Play Control: **** Total: 19 out of 25 FINAL SCORE: 76% Currently Known Codes Level Select Password: KGBJ
